I just learned that Circus Circus has a resort fee ($4.99). You might want to check the property you book to see if it has a resort fee and if so how much. It would be nice if someone did a link on the properties that have a resort fee and how much. |

Harrah's has a fee of $2.00 per day and this I consider a resort fee. Could someone do a link that would give us what the new resort fees might be. Thanks. |

You should be glad to pay it... that fee will get me to Reno two-out-of-every-three-years for the foreseeable future.
"The Reno City Council last week (which was actually mid-July 2011) unanimously voted for a $2 per day fee on downtown hotel rooms, with the funds mostly to be used for the effort to keep United States Bowling Congress tournaments coming to the northern Nevada town, the Reno Gazette-Journal reported,
"According to this story in the paper, the '$2 fee would apply to seven downtown hotels with nonrestricted gaming licenses and would be collected by the city and used to upgrade and maintain the bowling stadium, Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, Reno Events Center and Reno Ballroom.' "
Entire story from the Madison, WI paper is here (what can I say, bowling is big in Wisconsin). It has links to the RGJ, but you may be paywalled out. |

In March I stayed at the Eldo on TWO specials.
When on the "free" nights = NO EXTRA CHARGES
When on the "discounted ($ 25 & $ 30 w/third night "free") = $ 90 (approx)
They added:
Resort fee $ 7/night
City Capital Project Fee $ 2/night
Tax $ 4.05/night
Including the "free night" (as I recall)
Not sure why it came out that way or if that is still the rule. |

I've headed back to Harrah's to use their delightful facilities on a comp this summer - trip report coming in July - and for the first time ever on a Harrah's comp, there is a $2/night fee for the comp so $4/total instead of $0... eh, I can spare a couple of deuces for it... |

If there's a previous post that might be relative to what's being discussed now. You might want to bring it back instead of starting a new one. It would be nice to have more imput on this. |
