Hi everyone, hope all is well!
So, the adventure begins! After two days of saying goodbyes, last minute pack jobs, and trying not to kill my old landlord, we finally arrived at about 1 pm this afternoon after a long, late, rickety bus ride. I'm extremely proud of Tessa, as this was not only her first time using a muzzle (maybe it had something to do with the peanut butter I put in it?), the first time on a bus, but also the first time in a casino. She's already made a couple of new friends here at the GSR!
So, tomorrow I'm setting up a PO Box, speaking with someone about a freelance job, and possibly checking out some living options for down the road. My stuff's not coming from Mammoth for another couple of weeks, at which time I'll put it in storage.
It's awesome finally being here! Off to Harrah's on Thursday. No jackpots as of yet, but my $15 free play got me up $10.

A one way trip to Reno. Why didn't I think of that? Best of luck, Mammoth! |

And if anyone says anything about your dog in the casino, say:
"She's an official 'service dog'. She used to sniff out bombs in Iraq before she was injured and retired. Now she's trained to pick out the slot machines that are close to paying off. Want me to show you how she picks one?" |

Thanks everyone! Yes, I've actually already used the "service animal" line a couple of times since we got here. I don't like tying her up outside when I have to go inside a building, so she's already been in 7-11 and Super Wal-Mart!
I already taught her how to play my pachislo slot machine with her snout. Seriously. She can't put tokens in, but can press the lever and reel stops. I figured if things go bad, we can develop a little side show right under the Reno Arch with the rest of 'em!
