Anyone know anything about the Steakhouse out at the Mustang Ranch/Wild Horse? Reviews? This is for the meal only, no "services".
Oh yea, I did just ask that. |

There's a steakhouse there?!
Hm...an odd combination at best, but why not? This is the Reno area, dagnab it! |

Zydeco, I've got to say that that's one of the most original inquiries to ever grace our beloved board.
This little news item from KNVR would suggest that the Steakhouse might be quite good. http://www.mynews4.com/mostpopular/story/New-Mustang-Ranch-Lodge-to-open/DDsHdGmpGEKmDaVPgm-cYA.cspx
Most fitness instructors today advise a high protein meal after a good workout. I'll leave it at that for now. ( I can see this topic going viral!) |

Ok, I called and asked. Steakhouse is at the Wild Horse on the same property and food is really good! You don't need to partake in the "activities" and a tour of the Mustang Ranch is still available. Anyone want a trip report? |

Sure, Zydeco, I'd love to see a trip report. Please let us know what you had for desert, also. |

Not to go too far off topic, but I'll ask Storey County Commissioner, Lance Gilman next time I see him. LAST time I saw him, he was sitting in a dunk tank at the Virginia City 4th of July fund raiser. Five bucks for three softballs to dunk him. A good sport... I missed. I did dunk the County Sheriff however and missed the owner of the Mark Twain Casino.

Ok, I read that and thought it said, "drunk tank". Yep, clearly it is 17 days until a few on my part.
But I would love to meet Mr. Gilman and Madam Susan Austin. I toured the MR a few years ago and it was SO interesting and eye-opening. |

They serve good food at MR/WH? My god it would make sense as March 14 is officially "Steak and BJ Day" http://www.steakandbj.org/ aka the male counterpart to Valentine's Day. |
