Yes, I recently found Glassdoor (www.glassdoor.com) and was quite impressed - it's like TripAdvisor, but it lets you review jobs/companies in place of destinations and also has a built-in search engine for jobs popping up in the area. (I had a really good time giving my beloved former employer a big fat zero (anonymously), and good seeing a few others were in the same boat LOL!)
During my recent (EXTENSIVE) job searches, I also found another casino-specific website:
www.casinocareers.com
and a couple of really good overall search engine type sites based on area:
www.indeed.com
www.simplyhired.com
"Simply hired." If only it were that simple!

Mammoth - Do you drive a late-70s station wagon that doesn't maneuver the McDonalds drive thru (just south of Atlantis) very well? |

Hi MJames, hope you're enjoying/enjoyed your trip here!
Well, that type of vehicle sounds like something I'd drive, but I haven't owned a vehicle in six years! Based on your description, it sounds like you might have witnessed quite a site at the MickeyD's drive thru?!?
Seriously though, you can't miss us. Just look for the surfer dude with longer blond hair, a German Shepherd, and a rolling suitcase. That's us!

There was definitely a German Shepard in the car, but this absolutely 70s dinosaur was having all sorts of trouble with the tight radii of that particular drive through.
I had a great time, mostly (bowled very well, actually).
As I was packing to leave Reno, I got a phone call that my best friend had finally died of his cancer. It was a horrible time because (a) there wasn't a lot of time before heading to the airport and my phone was just on fire with friends calling and texting me and (b) I was actually heading back to Las Vegas for a couple of days.
Most of the rest of my trip was spent texting and calling with friends.
Instead of starting a trip report, I wrote a blog/obituary.
Another friend and I started and maintain a CaringBridge page. Feel free to read either. |

Hi Mjames, so sorry to hear about your friend. Great hearing you had a good trip - did you by chance to get a chance to check out the lane at Harrah's? Always a good time - I'm still voting they keep it in there permanently!

I saw the lane, but was there from Sunday night to Wednesday morning, so it wasn't in action. |
