|
|
Las Vegas taxi rates are standardized by the Nevada Taxicab Authority. However, by law, that authority only regulates taxis in counties of over 700,000 people, meaning just Clark County, down south, as Reno's Washoe County only has 425,000 or so.
Who regulates Reno's taxi rates? Anyone? And what are those rates? Or do they vary depending on the cab company? |

You're right, I think.
Clicking around, it looks like the NTA sets rates for each taxi cab company. Here's the one for Reno Sparks Cab Company.
$2.75 to drop the flag, $0.25 per 1/12 mile, $0.25 for every 36 seconds of waiting (aka $25 per hour), and plus whatever charge the airport imposes on departing taxis. Whittlesea's the same.
Thanks remano. |
