Harrah's has added some charging stations for the new "green" cars. I think must be the first casino in the area to do so? John can now charge up his Tesla sports car when he stops in for the buffet at Harrah's.

Eh, it's going to be a while before I personally feel like chucking out the "combustible" approach to motoring...and have we really determined that what it takes to make those batteries is superior? Seems that there were some concerns about that....

It's more P.R. than anything else at this point; tell Harrah's to take out "Super Single Deck", and put in some three-dollar tables like their superior sibling across the street, and then I'll go inside - but not because I'm under the impression that they're trying to address "global warming"!

There may be exceptions, but a lot of "electric only" (no gas) cars get their electricity from coal or natural gas fired generating stations. (Also Nuclear, hydro-electric etc.) Solar and wind, despite massive subsidies produce only 1% of America's electricity. Right now the coal producing states and the people and companies working in them, are fighting hard for their survival against Obama's stated "war on coal". See http://industrialprogress.com/

I believe I'm in Stan's camp when I say Harrah's should stick to the gaming trade and practice competing with the CalNeva rather than surfing the populist green wave.

All the same it would be kinda cool to get to Reno in a free energy vehicle - All the more to play video poker with!
