We will be in Reno from 12/14-16 and 12/21-24 and I just wondered if casinos there have a coat check or so you just keep your cot on your chair? We are from Texas so it's amazing we even own a coat but I am to sure what is the proper outerwear etiquette!
We will be staying at the El Do so I spect we can be coat-free and just go between there no the Silver Legacy and circus circus, but what if we venture out to somewhere else nearby?
Thanks for taking the time to answer this very silly question!

Nothing silly about that question. Coats do become a nuisance once settled inside a casino for a while.
I must confess I feel a bit silly for never even wondering if such a service exists. Can't say that I've ever noticed such a thing - maybe only for VIPs?
Hmm .... John must know! |

That's a good question, I've never had to do that, But one thing I do
know is you never want to hang it on the back of your chair! It will
disappear! I was setting at a machine in Harrah's last winter next
to a guy that had a really nice leather coat. He hung it on the back
of his chair, and it was gone with in 5 min. No one saw anything.
Security couldn't do anything. I would think most of the casinos
would have a place to secure it. |

I remember seeing a coat check at the Carson City Nugget. They never had anyone in there and it was just a storage area.
What I do is leave my coat in the car and run fast into the casino. When I am ready to leave the casino I run fast back to the car and turn on the heater full blast. Great plan - huh?
Actually here is the plan- You buy a cheap coat and leave it on any chair at a slot machine. When you are done playing you simply head over to the lost and found department, describe your cheap coat and they give it to you. Simple. |

Heh - I love the cheap coat idea! Perhaps I shall try this and report back!
