This is certainly no surprise as the place has been on the decline for the last few years. The casino is just a shell of what it was in the past. I see the new owners are applying for a gaming license, so that is good news.
Any change has to be a step in the right direction. |

Agreed. I hope it flourishes again and gets put back to the way it was back in the day. It seems like such a waste that it's just been sitting there all this time. Last trip in, it was like a ghost town...there were a few machines in there I recall playing 10 years ago!

Not only the Horizion but Harvey's is heading that way! We've been going
to Tahoe the last 3 mo. and every time we go in there some thing else
is not working or has been shut down. This time the down escalator was
still not working, and the elevator wasn't, also they have shut down
all the Keno games except the computer game at Harrah's in the
down stairs restaurant. They also Have the cocktail waitress
doing double duty at both casinos. I'm thinking they will be selling
it to Little Caesars along with Bally's and the other three they just
sold, or should I say transferred to the other company they own? |

Yes, in the Harrah's chain, Harveys Tahoe has been one property (along with Reno) that's pretty much slacking on the upkeep. Come to think of it, some of the machines in there were also the ones I was playing 10 years ago! Not sure what they've got in store, but a revamp would be nice. Still though, far superior these days to the Horizon!

True, but I did find a nice spot, down the street! The Lucky Beaver!!
They have a grill and great food at a affordable Price. Plus VP with
a 10$ rebate after 20 credits on your card. Very easy to get. Nice
friendly locals type place, next to a Dottys casino. Tell the Beautiful
Blonde bartender that Ron sent you!! LOL |

The last time we were at at a tourn. in Reno 2 women fell down the stairs
going to the steak house, because most of the elevators were out of
service, or so slow they were over loaded when they got there!
