If you're coming to Reno the weekend of May 9 - 10 and you want to get out of the casinos (and if the weather cooperates), take a short walk down to Wingfield Park on the river for the Reno River Festival. There's usually a pretty good crowd enjoying live music, vendor booths, a craft beer garden, children's play area and more. Unfortunately there will not be kayak competitions this year since the drought has turned the Truckee River into the Truckee Trickle. Still, it should be a good time. |

the "Truckee Trickle" - a hilarious name for a pretty sad situation...that's how the best comedy works.
The River fest does sound like fun! |
