For some reason, American Airlines recently painted one of its 737s in Reno Air's livery.
Even though Reno Air never flew 737s.
Go figure. |

Nice find Shooty. Reno Air was a great airline with Reno as its hub. I believe American Airlines gobbled them up- thus the tribute to Reno Air?
I used to fly them often when they had daily direct flights from San Jose to Laughlin , Nevada. |

Talk about the good ol' days!
Not certain if it was Reno Air, but I remember flying from San Jose to Las Vegas, and being told that I could upgrade to a first-class seat for a mere twenty dollars - granted it's a short flight, but jeez - what a deal! I loved every minute of it. |
