|
|
I just received an over sized post card from the Atlantis regarding free nights April -June with June offering 11 free nights. The free night is with consecutive paid night. There is a $2 tourism surcharge and a resort fee of $15 and 13% tax which will be close to $19 total. I'm wondering if the casinos will start offering free room nights but make you are responsible for the fees. Am I saying that this isn't a good deal no. |

I stayed at Atlantis about a month ago on a free room deal. It was totally free with no resort fee, taxes, etc. I guess there are different levels of "free rooms". |

Probably also different rates for different times of year, a month ago the demand may have been lower than it will be in warmer weather. |

I've never been charged the resort fee when staying on a free room offer at The Peppermill. That sucks the Atlantis is charging. So much for a free room. |

Two weeks ago, I stayed at Atlantis on MY big postcard offer. The dates in BLACK (the free offers) was not charged any resort fee or tax. But it sounds like your dates involve one free night, and one reduced fee night before OR after the comped night. I have had a very cheap deep discounted room that had that fixed fee & TAX added on....but never any charge on a fully comped night.
If you want to feel better, look on the back of the room door after you check in. There should be a, " The maximum room rate for THIS room is---------- dollars. My guess is it will say something like $ 400, PLUS RESORT AND TAXES. One comped room I had in Tahoe said $ 1,350/night. |
