I will be traveling to Reno soon again. I am interested to know if there are any indoor pools in any of the downtown casino/hotels. It is much too hot lately to spend much time at an outdoor pool. A friend was in Reno last weekend and he noticed that the Silver Legacy pool was closed for repairs (for 2 weeks) Thanks in advance for any help! |

Atlantis, Atlantis, and Atlantis - it's not downtown, but it's a decent one.
I've seen no others in the immediate vicinity. |

Not downtown, but Boomtown is indoors. Not indoors but Peppermill main pools are pretty shaded, especially the one under the animals which has a lot colder water and is smaller and tends to be less croweded plus you can swim under the waterfall. _________________ misterd |

Not downtown either, but JA's Nugget in Sparks has a very nice indoor pool area and the casino, restaurant and entertainment options are usually top notch. |

Thanks to all that replied!!!
I may have to spend my summer visits away from the downtown area. The Pepermill sounds good but I'm worried about construction. My brother loves the JA Nugget, he never mentioned a pool before. I have stayed at the Atlantis and I completely forgot they have very nice indoor pool. I have never ventured to Boomtown before, I may scout the pool this trip and decide if it has a better pool than the above mentioned. Its not too often that a pool decides which casino I stay in but my wife wants to relax this trip while I play. Normally the VP inventory a casino has determines where I stay. Again, thanks to all!!! |

I hate the Atlantis pool because of the undisciplined (and numerous) kids as well as the rude parents. |

VP4fun, I am not a big fan of pools as I do not like the chlorine so I bounced this question off my wife who love pools, her favorite between Boomtown, Atlantis and The Mill, is Boomtown becaaus it is far less crowded. Of course this obivously could all depend on timing when you are there. One plus for Boomtown if you are like me and enjoy having adult beverages and not driving they have a free shuttlle downtown and back which the Atlantis and the Mill do not offer.
Perosnally I would prefer to stay at Club Cal Neva's hotel and swiming in the Truckee river and finding a place in the shade to kick back, the river is only a block or so away.
No matter what you decide enjoy your trip and best of luck. _________________ misterd |
