i just got an e mail to the 3rd incarnation of the Siena,,,,yes NOT "Renaissance" as previously reported.
I was a little worried they'd get flooded...AGAIN.
Unfortunately, there was no "to view online, click here" link I'll try cut and paste.

I'm not optimistic about the Sienna / Renaissance's chances. That isolated spot across the river hasn't attracted much business since Reno was in it's heyday. But, as has been said here before, "Good Luck to em!" |

I always had a soft spot for Siena....Maybe because I've been to Tuscany. But probably because I hit a $ 4,000 royal the third day they were open...the first time.
Scroll thru the photos on their website and see THEIR IDEA of how to succeed in Reno. It takes some navigating but under "our hotel", click "renovations" you can see an artist's rendition of an OUTSIDE (about a dozen parking spots) "Bundox Bocce Venue" with indoor Skee Ball?? Not quite how I envision a Reno stay... but what do I know? I figured Whitney Peak would have dropped a rock climber long before now.

I hope they do OK... but it sure looks like they dropped another ton of dough on "reno vations".
I will for sure go there for drinks ...and try to figure out how much they are hemorrhaging. |
