Making plans for HAN 2019 looking at Peppermill but looking for opinions of those who have seen/stayed at high end rooms downtown. I stayed at the Siena in the past but don't like the remodel. Excalibur, Harrahs, Silver?
I miss the old Peppermil with all the purple and the awesome waitress uniforms.
Thanks in advance. |

Hopefully VAPA will chime in on this post as he volunteers at Hot August Nights each every summer. I'd consider the Eldorado, Silver Legacy, Circus Circus, Harrah's or even the Sands for downtown stays. I've always found the walk from the Excalibur a bit of a long haul. No kidding, Dave. The walk from the "Excalibur" Casino to the Silver Legacy is pretty close to 400 miles. While I've never walked it, I have driven it.
I agree one of the downtown casinos is the best option.... way less than a 7 hour drive from Vegas. |

The Silver Leg. by far the best for Quality Rooms. But if ya want to see it
all ya have to make the Rounds of the fair grounds, GSR, Peppermill and
Atlantis. That will take a while!

Yes, it does, done that a few times. I like downtown for HAN but for me it's losing a bit of its old charm as a place to stay. I'll look into the Silver Legacy, thanks. Might split my time between two places if I can't decide. Or maybe take a scouting trip. |

Certainly the top 3 casinos would be Peppermill, Atlantis and GSR in my opinion. As far as sites look at Momondo. Otel, Last Minute Travel to name a few and of course Priceline and Booking.com (Priceline owns Booking.com0. If, you have other concerns PM me. Good luck |

Thanks VAPA, any opinion on Downtown hotels? Right now I'm leaning toward the Peppermill and traveling around by rental car. |

The best casino is the Atlantis though I've not stayed there. The other is the Peppermill and the best downtown is the Eldorado and I've stayed at both properties. |
