Wow, yes, thanks Alison - I heard the news. That's pretty incredible. The Eldorado must be doing something right. Actually, I've always thought the Eldorado was a pretty well run Hotel/Casino. They seem to have thrived while many other Reno operators were going out of business. They're definitely in the big leagues now! Go Eldo! |

I hope they do well, I really do.
But there is a history of small companies BUYING much larger companies with disastrous results. And the root cause is in order for the smaller company to sweeten the "deal", much debt must be incurred.
Anyone recall Haggen "buying" Albertsons & Safeway? How about AOL "buying" Time Warner? Don't getting me started on bank mergers.

I think JD is right on, Caesars will drag the Eldo. under just like Harrahs! In the last 3 yrs. since I Made Platinum, I haven't got an offer that was even worth walking across the street for, let alone drive 4 hrs.!! |
