Hi John and everybody,
I wrote an article about Reno that was just published on Associated Content.
I gave a nice plug to visitreno.com and said it was the best site for information about Reno. I also said some nice things about the people on the message board here.
Here is a link to the article in case anyone is interested:

Thanks,
John Domenic |

Nice work!
I personally would have omitted reference to the Golden Phoenix, 'cuz if I've read correctly, it's closed by now, but you've put in a very solid article.
Thanks for helping to spread the good word. |

Thanks Stan.
Also, thanks for the heads up on the Golden Phoenix. I'll add a correction to the notes under the article. I didn't realize it closed since I was last in Reno.
I've also written 4 articles on Vegas and 1 on Tahoe in case anyone is interested. Here's the link and then I'll stop spamming the board.

This is the kind of spam we need. Welcome to the board, John, and thanks for the plug on associatedcontent.com. I looked at some of your other articles there and was impressed by your range of expertise - from hotel reviews to taking care of shoes. I did notice, however, an obvious lack of articles on parrots.
Thanks again for your plug and other good information.

Hi John,
Thank you.
Funny you should mention parrots. My Mom is a huge bird lover and has two. One is an African Grey, but I'm not sure what kind the other one is.
Maybe I'll have to write an article on parrots. |

Not only closed, but well into a COMPLETE conversion to condo's. When the Comstock was converted there didn't appear to be much change to the outside other than some cleanup and the addition of balconies. The Sundowner appears to be doing much the same. The Phoenix, on the other hand, has been stripped right to the skeleton, with nary an outside wall or window left standing. |

Sorry folks for horning in, but as far as I am concerned they can "Shove" their new Condos and install a few more Casino's.
Apparently there is some new Casino activity on the horizon. Station Casino's plans for a couple (?) and the new Shopping Center and Casino Hotel complex out by the Lake in Sparks.
Maybe more, but that is what I heard about on my trip in July.
By the way, the Fandango in Carson City is a bright new place.
DOLLAR CRAPS!!!!!
YoMan....................over and out. |
