This morning's RGJ reports that Horizon Air will begin regular flights from Portland on April 3. No word on the exact schedule or pricing, but if you're planning a trip from Portland it might be worth checking out. |

Hey that is great news that there will be another option. I usually fly SW but HZ has some good deals at times. It will be interesting to see what they offer.

Whoopeee! It is about time someone put some pressure on SW Air. Many of us old-timers still lament the demise of Reno Air. I think it was gobbled up by American West and shut down. They did a real decent job, and you could actually get a assigned seat.
Thanks for the info, and we will keep our eyes open for the good news from Horizon.

Yeah, and I wish Eugene would pick up a cheap route. Wouldn't it be nice to go back to the $99 round trip flights.... |

Ah Reno Air...We used to get "bumped" almost everytime we went. We would pay for a trip and get bumped coming home. Go for free the next time. Then pay for a trip and get bumped coming home, etc etc...Once we got bumped going, and bumped coming home !! I miss those days |
