Bama and Dave:
I understand you are coming to Reno for Final Four. Yet you are leaving on Sunday, the 19th. I thought the championship was usually on MONDAY night. Is this still the case? I am confused and may want to make a trip but need to know the schedule. Thanks |

We go for the start of the NCAA tournament which begins Thursday March 16th. We like the beginning because there is 16 games on Thursday and Friday and 8 on Saturday and Sunday. Basically Thursday and Friday there are games on from 9:00 a.m. unil 9:00p.m. We arrive with a field of 64 and leave with the Sweet 16. Then the tourney doesnt begin again until the following weekend. Sportbooks are packed as it is a great time for parlays and moneylines!

I'll be coming in on thursday the 16th, hoping to get my bets in for the midafternoon games. will bet at C.C. , so i can get some comps on my sportsbook tracking, but not sure where to watch the games. It is st. pattys day weekend,so there should be some entertainment down virginia st. when I need a break from the action. |

Cal Neva is a good place to watch it - lots of tv's all games going at once. Big also with lots of cheap beer. Sand is ok. Harras has a nice place to watch it but it is small with not to many tv's. There was a street fair last year and lots of entertainment.

so, is the following weekend, Mar 24-26, also busy at casinos?
Or Busy, but less so?
And does that mean the finals are not until April, like Monday, April 3?
thanks, appreciate the info. this will help me plan my trips. |

Yes I believe the final four would be April 1-3. Dont know how busy the casinos are for March 24-26 but I imagine it is a pretty good draw as those are usually great games.

Sorry I didn't reply quicker Jerry as we were out of town for a few days. I see Bama did a great job at responding. Do you think you might be down on any of the same days we are there?
Any of you watch the Hawks get hosed in the Superbowl!

Super Sucker - is what that game was.
Seahawks got screwed - but did not play well enough to win either.
