Hello Reno!
I read an article today that the Eldorado Buffet is getting a make over. So am I right to assume that their buffet now is closed? I love their Asian noodle bar. Now that would be just my luck! Yikes!
Any of you guys have another one that you prefer?
Thanks,
Dave

Hey, Dave, can you answer a couple questions, please. I don't even have TV as a source of info.
When is the final four in BB? When are the finals? Usually a monday as I recall.
I would like to think about a Reno trip but I kinda need to avoid the busy BB time as they may not comp me a room.
I'm just guessing that the hardest time to book a room would be the final weekend of final four, including even the Monday nite -- if that is in fact when the final game takes place.
Thanks.
And where are you staying and which nights/dates?? |

Hey Dave hope it works out for you there but if you're looking for an alternative we found the Carvings Buffet at Harrah's to be very good. I think they just remodeled it. The only strange thing is they make you pay for beer/liquor as you consume it, like you would in a bar. There's also the Lucky Noodle Bar downstairs which I've also heard is great.
Hadn't been downtown in a long while when we went last week but I was pretty impressed with the upkeep overall.

Hey thanks guys. Yeah I plan on checking out Carvings one night while we are there. The Tournament lasts 3 weeks. I actually would think the busiest time would be that first weekend which is when we go. That is when they go from 64 teams and when the weekend is over there are only 16 teams left. March 20-23. Thursday through Sunday. Then the next weekend same days Thurs. -Sunday. And yes you are in fact right the Championship I am pretty darn sure is on that last Monday with the Semi's (Final Four) I think that would be April 7th. Hope that helps. I have to say all times are fun to be in Reno but it doesn't get much better than to be there for March Madness! What a ball.
Glad to hear you made it downtown Mammoth. It is funny cause I really would like to check out the Peppermill but I really enjoy being able to move around from Casino to Casino and when I go to the Peppermill that is it unless I want to cross the road to the Atlantis. We talked about renting a car this time but I don't know that we will.
Take care guys,
Dave |
