Mrs Ryder and I decided to make another journey to the promise land.......even though we live in vegas.
Trip was nothing more than a little R & R, major gambling, drinking and seeing if John would take me to this place called shooters you all keep talking about.
Unfortunately, my MIL had to have surgery, so I sent Mrs. Ryder to Chicago and came to Reno stag.
Highlight of the trip was not meeting John, but the hooker he sent to my room. She even brought along a computer so I could keep up on the Reno message boards.......I might even have a pic of her to post.
low point of the trip was Southwest losing my luggage and John not paying for the hooker he sent to my room. She charged me $1000/hour to use that computer she brought along.
Also, got to finally stay in the new Tuscany tower and was graciously upgraded to a pretty fancy suite by my host.
Here are some pics of the room I had
pool table.......I sure hope the stains come out of that felt
nice little wet bar
living room area
master bedroom
master bathroom no pic of the jacuzzi tub also in there
but the best part of the room was........
Steam Shower!!!!!! Yes, they are back!!!!!
I think the room was right around 2300 sq. ft. Kind of small by my standards. I usually won't settle for anything less that 4000 sq. ft when I am traveling alone......plus this suite only had 6 plasmas TV's in it, I thought I deserved at least 7
Seriously though it was a gorgeous room with some nice views
but since Mrs. Ryder could not make the trip it was kind of a waste. I don't think I went to bed each night before 5AM and by noon I was back on the casino floor.
I will admit that the best hangover cure in the world is sweating your ass off in the steam shower for an hour and then slam 4 bottles of water.....you are 100% refreshed and ready to go
The curtains in the joint were all controlled by remote control......only thing missing was the theme to the movie 2001 playing when they opened.
Oh and that hooker that John sent me........Here she is
She really had a nice hard drive |

Nice Ryder! looks like john owes ya big time for that hooker you had to pay for lol.
The rooms looks nice. I like how it has a pool table. Thanks for leaving the stains on it.
So how did your gaming sessions go? Seeing as how you have not mentioned andything, i am assuming it did not go to well? |

Gambling was evil again for me. I think this is the 3rd or 4th trip in a row now to the Pep that I basically went home with 7 dollars in my pocket.....no wonder the pep keeps giving me these nice suites.....LOL
my 5-play and 10-play DDB video poker machines were cold. I might have cashed out 3 times on them for over 500 bucks each. Hit one keno ticket for a little over $700 and some penny machine (puzzled or something like that) for $500. But those wins were all pissed away pretty quickly.
Tables were even colder!!!
Still had a ton of fun though |

Well thats a bummer. Sorry to hear no big wins. I know exactly what Puzzled game you are talking about. I think its called Totally Puzzled. YOu get this 3 question mark thingies and it takes you into a free spin bonus where if you get another Question mark, you can select and win more spins and multipliers. I love that game!
Good job on the keno win. I never win at keno. |

Wow, that is one sweet suite.
I am very happy in the "standard" Tuscan suite but that is special.
Re the "hooker". I think I saw her at John's house last trip but not sure.
Here's how it went.
I dropped in to see John's new bird. He said it was very colorful and called it something like an "eclittosoreus". Maybe John can say it right.
Before entering John's suite, he asked me to take off my coke-bottle lensed glasses as the birds would peck at them and likely destroy them.
Well, I am nearly blind without my specs but I take them off and put them in my pocket, then enter John's place.
Well, he shows me the new bird and I did think the "bird" was very colorful, even flamboyant, and I thought quite large by "bird standards".
In looking at your pics without my glasses, your room visitor and John's new flamboyant "eclittowhatever" looked suspiciouslly the same.
Anyhoo, thanks for the report and pics. Say hello to the doc for me when you get back to LV and go in for your tests and shots. |

Hawk, I see you noticed the similarity between Ryder's suite and my house. They would be almost identical if the suite had been a little bigger.
Ryder, I'm glad you enjoyed my little "surprise", but I paid her in advance. Looks like she was double dipping also. |

You guys are to much! I'm reading this at work laughing my A$$ off, I'm going to get busted for sure!
Okay, Ryder, which of all this is true? The suite was pretty sweet, and I was quite impressed with your ability to snag one. The hooker looked real enough, but methinks you all were having fun at our expense.
Regardless, it was some funny reading, keep it coming. |

Well that was a different trip report. I guess the hooker was another type of comp. In fact I was looking at that picture of "her", and it is obvious that the hair is not real......in fact I am wondering about the whole package. Are you sure all the "equipment" was as advertised? |

Wow, Swede, you are most perceptive. I didn't even notice that she had hair.
But I'll bet a sawbuck that she is a crack typist. |

Wow! very nice suite! Thanks for sharing the TR and pics. I'm almost
afraid to ask what a suite like that costs ( I know, if ya have to ask, you
probably can't afford it....thats me...lol). |

Well, others said earlier that it was a sweet suite.
Now, I am inclined to believe that the "sweets within the suite" are the most delectable of all.
I am now wondering why I always have refused to give John my room number... |

John, can you believe this statement? (see subject)
If Reno Lady knew the both of us better, she would never make such a statement. |

Ryder,
Nice trip report and pics. And the hooker looks awesome LOL. How did you like Shooters? Been telling all our neighbors about it here, we had so much fun there last month...
Congrats on the Keno hit. And that's one nice suite...good to hear that they are at least keeping some of the steam showers intact and that others use 'em for hangover cures as well. Those were the one thing I hope didn't completely disappear.
I'm going to try to go back in a couple of weeks, even paying the $99 introductory rate on one of those seems like a deal.

"knowing you better" has got to be in the future. Your written wit cracks me up, I'm intrigued if I could be fooled sitting across from you over a beer at the Peppermill.
I wonder if Hawk and Jerry and John have ever been sitting at three chairs there? |

Hey Peb, I have no idea what that suite would cost per night to the public. I do know that $380.00 was charged for the room to my comp account for the two nights I had it.
Mammoth, one thing I noticed on the Steam Showers was that you could go no higher than 120 degrees on it......so it took a little while longer for me to start sweating Tanqueray Gin out my pores....LOL versus the older ones in the other suites. |
