We went up to Reno on 5/25-5/26 and had a great time. We stayed at the Eldorado in their small players suite (we usually stay in the large one, so we were a little upset that they were all sold out). It would have been nicer to stay another night, but we couldn't because of all the things going on for the last week of school for the boys.
We got to Reno around noon and was shocked that our room was ready. We unpacked and made our way downstairs to donate to the local economy. My hubby won $500 after putting less than $20 in the dollar slot machine (great way to start a trip). I was up and down playing nickles, so I went to play with him and won $300 on dollars.
We then ate and continued playing. We were up and down for the rest of the night, so we opted to turn in for the night. The next morning I got up and played a little longer on the penny machines and won over $1000 in less than an hour (ON PENNIES).
We checked out and headed home, with twice the amount of money we went up with and the Eldorado comped our room and food. Not bad for 24 hours in Reno
We are going back to Reno in a few weeks on their dime, so hopefully we will have another great trip.
Erin
ps. We played mostly at the ED and walked over to the Fitz (they seem to be tighter with the new owners) and stoped in at the CalNeva (did pretty well there also) |

Erin,
Thanks for posting your report.
Congrats on thw wins. Can i ask what games you were playing? Specifically the pennies? I never win on Pennies so i am always curious as to what people were playing and how much they were betting.

I can't remember the names of the games, but one machine (won $600) was egypt style with Cleopatra on it. The other machine ($400) was set up like England, it had street cars and the tower of London on it. With the England machine I didn't realize I had won until the lady next to me told me.
Both of the machines were by the fast food section of the Eldorado kinda back in the cornor. I could see my hubby playing $1 "Wheel of Fortune" against the wall of the casino hosts offices, if that helps.
Sorry Hawk, I'm born and raised in Northern California
Erin
I usually bet around $1 each time, alittle more if I'm winning and a little less if I'm not |

Thanks, M2B. As I stated the SD thing is an inside joke. Or you can check the threads for the South Dakota Trip Report to read about it.
Just something we had fun with recently.
Send me a pic and next time I can post you on all the telephone poles in the next state I search. |
