When I went to Tahoe with my daughter, I had to use my Harrah's card as R wasn't going. His card is the one with higher points on it that scores us Vegas offers (never Reno/Tahoe offers, though). Through her wins and my late night drambling, I put some points under my own name.

I checked the mailbox for the Reno/Tahoe offers to pour in for me, sure enough, within a week, here was a Harrah's letter acknowledging the recent Tahoe visit, and offering free money and nights in Reno...in R's name! What? he wasn't even there! sigh.

Anyway, Circus has sent some free nights (though we haven't given them much play) and Fitz sent a free Bingo weekend thingy, and free BBq on the 4th, everything included. I don't think we're going to be able to take them up on anything this month, we're taking the daughter back to Vegas for her birthday on the 5th of July, maybe we'll hit Reno on the way back.....

Hi RenoLady

Congrats on receiving the offers from Harrahs so quickly...it's always taken a couple of months after a gambling session for them to kick in on my account!

I've found that the 2 free Harrah's Reno nights are a "freebie" anytime I play in Tahoe. Once you receive them, you can keep on getting them without having to play alot. I think Harrah's bases their "freebies" as an incentive to visit their neighboring properties other than the ones you play at...for example, they award you for Reno if you play in Tahoe, and I've gotten some free room offers for Laughlin after playing in Vegas. Must be a "try our other properties!" kind of thing.

Say, have you ever tried the rooms at Circus Circus? I actually got an offer from them last week (surprising since I only played about $20 there in March and was in and out the door in 10 minutes!) I unfortunately haven't heard anything good about the rooms but was wondering if anyone else here has tried them.

Best of luck in Vegas, and be sure to hit Reno on your way back...those combo trips are always fun!

MG: Before Fitz started comping us, we were Circus freaks (I don't know why I wrote that).

Circus: the rooms are surprisingly nice, better than Fitz. They only have a few small rooms, usually located next to the maid's room, otherwise, they are pretty spacious, generally updated and always clean. (If you get stuck in the "maid's room" make some noise and they'll move ya.)

The tower rooms are $10 bucks a night cheaper, same rooms as the main tower, the difference is only geography, you have to walk or shuttle to the tower, the main tower is over the casino. When the rooms are comped anyway, ask for the main tower. The negativity associated with Circus is really by association with their Vegas property, and undeserved.

Thanks for the info on Harrah's, it's nice to have those freebies to fall back on. Maybe we'll give them a try on the way back from Vegas over the 4th.

Harrahs Reno offers arrive in mailbox practically every day.

The latest one was two tickets to see Stevie Wonder, plus a room for two nights.

I just received my Pepp coupon book with the same old coupons...$25 matchplay etc..., but the one I really like is the $50 food credit. I'll be taking advantage of that puppy in August!

RenoLady thanks for the info, also wanted to mention that they are usually good about honoring the offers on weekends too or at least on Fri. nites, I am going back next weekend and just got another free upgrade to the West Tower. Staying at the Pep on Sat. nite, still have to book. Going car shopping!

Hey at least you all are even still getting the coupons from the Pep, period! LOL. Some of us aren't even that far....

I just booked my free night at Harrahs for next Friday as I can't use it on Saturday and I was just notified that the Pep doesn't do Saturday night only arrivals so now I'm stuck! I did notice that they had something available on Expedia but I don't want to risk booking that way, so I got into Circus Circus for just Saturday night without a problem with their offer. Free is free, especially on weekends. $20 free slot play, $5 match play, $10 dining credit, and 10 free midway plays, whatever those are. Should be pretty interesting! The Pep did however offer me a 169 per night "introductory rate" on a Tuscan Suite but that's pretty near the normal rate - far from a deal, - and I have to stay two nites so that's out.

I will post a TR when I get back.

Ok, I knew the Siena would come to it's senses. As most of you know, I used to drop some dough there. And I was often sent some pretty good offers. Well, all that ended when I made the mistake of reporting a parking lot ding to security and actually expected them to review the camera tape for me. THAT was before I realized those cameras are for the CASINO'S protection, NOT their customers'.

Now it seems things must be getting tough. At long last I'm getting some whiz bang offers from my old haunt.

Yup, I've been invited to Christmas at the Siena.

Well, actually, I've been invited to Christmas Dinner at the Siena.

Well, actually I've been invited to BUY Christmas Dinner at the Siena.

For only $ 39 (plus tip) I get Duck Soup. And I don't mean my favorite Marx Brothers movie. I mean soup....made from Duck... and no free room. No cheap room. Not even a lucky buck (which are actually lucky fifty cent pieces, and I can prove it).

Don't believe me?

Think I should go?

All I wanna know is, what's a mouse log?

I gotta quit drinking on a school night.

I say, Jump on it, JD. It will re-ingratiate you to the Siena staff, quickly leading to even LARGER offers, no doubt.

"All I wanna know is, what's a mouse log?"
This sounds like a question for the Sock Puppet...

JD, we miss your posts. don't be so INfrequent. You do liven up the board.

Sadly, no duck soup for me. But I do plan to check out the NEW (old) Siena this weekend. I'll be sure and mention your name and see if they will load on some freebies because of our past association.

Or, would I be better off to deny that I ever met you. Smile

I had recieved an offer from the Pep. it was for some New Years dinner at the Pep for 2 people. Maybe someone else got it?

I did sign up for the Circus Circus e-mail list. They are always sending reduced rates and free play offers. Sign up on their website.

alison- I got the same offer. No room offers so I guess they want you to eat and get out of there?

"All I wanna know is, what's a mouse log?" I see it is a mousse YULE log. I may be wrong, but my guess is they will give you a piece of firewood to take home for a fire at home. Confused

I just received an offer from Boomtown for two free nights any time between now and Dec. 29, no blackout dates. It includes $25 cash for gambling and $25 credit in their restaurants. I don't know if it's available generally or only by special invitation, but if you're interested it wouldn't hurt to ask. Call 800-648-3790 and ask for offer CPD128D.

It's about proportion. When they offer you a "Human Log", it's a piece of firewood you can add to your fireplace at home to keep you warm.

A "Mouse Log", therefore, is a toothpick.

I guess things must really be slow at the Siena lately. Because they sent me ANOTHER boffo offer.

I've been invited to an "..evening of elegance, luxury, class and a little mystery...". Imagine THAT! After years of being blacklisted just because I asked them to review their security tapes of the parking lot.

Well, just what does THIS great offer include?

"Face Painting and an organ grinder (with monkey)? "

I thought they said, "...class, luxury..."?

Oh well, at least it's, "... $ 85 per person with wine..." ???

WTF?

If it was ME....I'd at LEAST include the DATE of this "CARNIVALE".

But that's just me.

This will surely turn this joint around!
