I was thinking the same thing reno lady. Where is everyone?? Its been pretty slow on here lately. Is no one headed to reno? I realize it costs and arm and a leg to get there now with gas prices, but im still making the drive! Can't keep me away.
Does anyone know if the Pep is still handing out the Buy One Get One coupons for new Passport members? Also, i noticed on the back of my Preview from the Pep, it says to stop by the info booth for more valuable dining coupons. Anyone konw what those are?

Alison and Erin in South Dakota coming in August, Hawkster's here right now.
Hawk and I went to the Peppermill last night for the Tuesday happy hour - $1.50 imports and free shrimp cocktails and ribs. Next stop was the Steakhouse, where we were served by the lovely Lisandra, our new favorite waitress. Ahhhhh yes, the very lovely Lisandra. Very lovely. Then it was off to the fabulous Peppermill casino, where they extracted just payment for the comped food and drinks.
Oddly enough, I didn't get the usual royal flush that normally accompanies a visit with Hawk. It must have been a machine malfunction, so I talked to my slot host and he arranged for the Peppermill to pay me for a royal. And the next night I dreamed about something else. |

So John, if you head back to the Pep, will you find out for me if they still give the BOGO coupons for new sign ups? And what the "other valuable coupons" they have for Passport members, per the Preview Magazine i just got?? I would love you forever. Please! Tell Hawk hi! I see a Royal in your future.....

Ali, I'm not sure what you mean by the new signup coupons. They still have the $100 free play promo for new signups. The extra coupons are the standard fare, bux off meals and some gaming promos. I've found them very useful for lining the bird cages. I'll check on the BOGO's on my next trip over there.
I'll give Hawk your best when I see him tomorrow morning for breakfast buffet at the Eldorado Hotel and Casino in beautiful, exciting downtown Reno, Nevada. And just how far in the future is this royal you see for me? I thought you already love me forever. |

I think renolady or Mammothgambler had mentioned b4 when they brought a new sign up to the Pep, their friend got a bunch of BOGO coupons to be used at all the restraunts. We are bringing someone down there in Aug, so i am hoping they can get those. On the Preview it mentions to go to the booth for more coupons as well. I have never recieved them B4 there. I just noticed on my last 2 previews it mentioned to stop by for more coupons so thats why i am asking on that.
Yes i already did love you forever, but i will love you even more!!! As far as the Royal goes, i think you and Hawk will be sitting side by side after B-Fast, and then it will happen. Bam! Royal Flush!!

On the encouraging side, we just completed a road trip through the southwest involving the Bay area, LA, Las Vegas and Reno. The cheapest gas was found in Reno, $4.09 per gallon. Highest was in the Big Sur area, well over $5.00. |

I also found out that the Pep's original tower is half completed. They will be stopping the redmodel at the end of July, and begining again in Feb 09. Guess they dont want the noise for the guests during the busy season.

Oh sure, John...looking forward to the girls' visits. But any mention that I'll be there IN ONE WEEK?
And as for royals, let me see. Dollars: Siena. Big Progressive quarters: Sands, Diamonds. Quarters: Harrahs, Legacy, Comstock, Cal Neva. Nickels: Cal Neva.... and NO HELP from Jerry!
Anyone want to catch the 4th of July parade in Virginia City? Or the Bluegrass festival the foillowing weekend? Anyone want to open a visitvirginiacity.com website? How about drinks with the camel in the newly reopened Red Dog (now called Longbranch Saloon):

Alison: It wasn't me that got the coupons for the Pep, I haven't been there in a while, maybe MG?
Remano: Where's the trip report? we're headed to LV next week, and back through Reno, throw us a bone!
JD: So we'll have some info from you in a couple of weeks, good.
Hawk: You're there now! Can't wait for a shooter/john story, make something up if everyone's behaving..... |

JD, could I forget you? Go back to my post and read the subject line. I'll be in VC on July 2 or 3 to meet with the GM of the Ramada. Maybe a little partying could be done?
The visitvirginiacity.com website idea sounds tempting, but someone has already snagged it for Virginia City, Virginia. It's one of those awful cookie cutter referral sites that's nothing but links where the site owner gets paid every time someone clicks on a link. [rant]Those sites suck because there's no real information on them, just links to other sites that are selling something remotely related to what we're looking for.[/rant] |

I just got my latest Pepp offer for 2 free nights in a Florence Suite...is that a regular suite in the Tuscan tower?
Also $250 in freeplay.
Ok, here's my dilemna. I'm going to Reno 8/7-8/11. I received an offer from Harrahs for a free flight from 8/8-8/10. I found out it's not a charter flight, just a regular flight on Southwest.
Since I'm flying out late Thursday night (get in around 8:30 pm), I thought about cancelling that flight and taking the free Harrahs flight on Friday morning (10 am). It would give me around $140 credit on Southwest for a future flight. I wouldn't come back on the free flight on Sunday though and just keep my paid flight back on Monday.
But, this means I would feel obligated to stay at Harrahs for at least two nights. Right now I'm comped at the Pepp for all 4 nights. But, I think I could score a suite at Harrahs.
So, should I fly out Friday, take the flight credit and have to change hotels mid-stay, or keep everything as is, which will get me into Reno sooner and I won't have to hassle w/changing hotels? |

Hey Alison, what happened to the web cam's, on the Pepp's site, which showed the construction? I wanted to check out the pool area. |
