Hi, just wanted to let everyone know that the Terrible's properties have re-designed all of their websites, so the Sands Regency's site has a new look, complete with new photos of all their rooms, online specials, etc. I'm still trying to find out if their player's club is tied in with the others yet.

I just checked out their website and it looks like the Players Club is the same. Has the same name anyways. I think you are good to go!

Here's what I'd really like to know about that site: When can a club member use the on-line games to earn coupons, and what can such a member not do so?
This is a question, because after the initial sign-up - where I got a fifty-dollar free-play coupon - I've never been able to log back into the game site; I always get an error message saying that my "Information is incorrect, or you are inelgible for this promotion at this time" - I've double-checked my login info, and the only conclusion I can come to is that they want me to come into the casino and play some non-free-play money (i.e., money), before I start getting giveaways again.
Any feedback to this analysis?

Stan--- I just tried the on line play, and it works just fine. I have never won anything worthwhile. I just won another 2 for 1 boo-fay coupon...yuck. Never anything worthwhile to get me to come back.

Sorry, I should have clarified; here's the games portion of the site:

http://sandsregency.casinobonusplay.com/SingleSignOn.php

My question, I guess, is whether one can use the initial free play coupon, and then after using it, be eligible for more *without* having to play one's own money first. And maybe my login just wasn't activated, or something, 'cuz now that I think about it, the fifty bucks free play was for "Signing Up" for the card, but even with the actual card in hand, I've never subsequently been able to log in to the games site.

I guess I'll have to bite the bullet, return to the Sands club area, and wait in line to have them troubleshoot it, which I dread, but what the heck - it'll give me an incentive to head on over.

Thanks for the info everyone. I didn't even think to check out the new online gaming section!

Alison, yeah to the best of my knowledge it's still called the Bonus Beach Club, only the only thing I noticed so far is they have a new logo instead of that tacky old beach photo. The new logo has a surfboard in it! : )

Both at the Sands as well as Terrible's in LV, both places have told me in the past that their card system will soon be updated where you can use your points earned at any Terrible's property to redeem merchandise/comps/food/rooms at any Terrible's property (I guess kind of like Harrahs). So far, all of their casinos are in the system with the exception of the Reno properties (Sands, Rail City, Gold Ranch) and I was wondering when-and if-they are going to get in the program.

This is gonna sound kinda crazy folks, but over the past six years, I have accumulated (drumroll please!) 175,000 points at Terrible's in Las Vegas! It's not like it's the best place to play by any means, it just seems like on every LV trip, I always go in for an hour and wind up staying forever. I have literally not used one comp dollar or point with the exception of a Prime Rib dinner at the Bougainvillea Cafe last year (which I think was comped to start out with!) When I was last in LV in February, they politely told me it was time to start redeeming some points for merchandise. They literally told me I had enough for a free 3 week stay in one of the upgraded tower suites with three comped meals a day, or I could look through their gift catalog, which I did. My plans right now are to get one of the new XBox 360's (90,000 points) and a mini plasma TV (85,000 points) and use whatever's left over in the restaurants. Problem is, the players club is set up so weird there (it's literally in the middle of the convenient store!) and the lines are usually so long, I've never had the patience to stop and take a look at the merchandise.

I never stopped to think how much money I've blown in there, or how many dollars of coin in it takes to get a point. But my question is, how come I can't get hooked up like that at the Peppermill? : )

Wow MammothGambler that is way too many of Terribles points to just sit. I would cash those points in for anything SOON. Terribles (Herbst Gaming) is in serious financial trouble, and you could find your points worthless. It is not worth taking the chance.

I agree 100%.......I have been burned several times before from casino closings to casinos just changing around there comp systems and starting everyone back at zero.

and like CaSwede stated.....Terribles is really hurting lately.

Thanks for the info everyone, I didn't know they were in the hole that bad, but come to think of it I think I recall seeing an article about it somewhere. I was trying to redeem the points in Reno, but it looks like I might have to make an emergency trip to LV. Darn!

The word is that they expanded too fast, got into some marginal casinos, and then got hit hard when the smoking ban cut into their profits from their slot machine routes in restaurants. They haven't filed for BK yet but they are reported to be shaky. There's a Terrible's gas station being built at McCarran and W. 4th St. in Reno and there hasn't been any apparent activity there for several months.

The way Terrible's destroyed what little was left of the Primm casinos is irrefutable evidence of the overwhelming greed of the Herbst brothers. The shabbily-run Terrible's in Las Vegas is another example. Welching on promotions is one of their particularly nasty business practices. I like their gas stations, but not their casinos. They should get out of the casino business and get back to selling gas and changing oil.
