Does anyone know if you can hear the construction that is going on at the Peppermill in your room? I will be there on the 7th and was just curious if it is really noisy there with all that construction going on. I hope not!

Sorry you did not get a reply, Ali. Someone will likely let you know. Trouble is that hardly anyone has been to Reno lately. And, then we all stayed elsewheres.
I would doubt that the construction noise would be any problem, though, in a place as big and spread out as that.
You could ask for a room on the other side of the hall. That would for sure do the trick. I think they are basically working on the parking structure on the south side.
Hope this helps. Have a nice trip. |

We were at the Peppermill in January. The hotel put us on the 4th floor, which surprised me. We usually are higher up. They explained that they put us there to keep us away from the construction site. We had a view of the pool and the mountains which we have always had and didn't really didn't understand the explanation. To answer your question, we were not bothered at all with the construction. We spent 5 nights and it was business as usual. Enjoy! |

Having never stayed at Peppermill I am glad you posted this ? Allison. We are staying there on the 17th and 18th and I would love to hear how you fare with construction noise.

Hey, Alison. I have stayed at the Pepp twice since the construction started, and I never had a problem with the noise. That construction is sure going up fast! I don't spend much time in the room anyway, and when you come staggering up to the room at 2 AM the workers are not very noisy then. It may be as the construction goes up higher it may get noisier, but I would not worry about the noise issue at all. The biggest problem seems to be the lack of parking until they get the parking garage completed. |

Alison,
Sorry, I haven't visited this sight since our trip in January. I didn't finish my trip report, but will probably go ahead and post my views on the Peppermill.
The answer to your question, is yes, I could hear construction noise since my room looked directly out on the construction...lol! The first two mornings weren't too bad, but by the last day I could hear the beeping of the trucks.
If you're facing the pool, or are on the North side, you probably won't hear anything. |
