 We had our trip planned for Fri 10/10, room reserved, money put away, etc. But as Murphy's law would have it, we couldn't go. I woke up about 3am thurs morning with the tell-tell signs of a kidney stone (i have passed more of those than should be aloud for a single peson). I was HOPING I was wrong, but around 5am I knew I was in trouble.
So off to the ER, lots of drugs and a few x-rays later I was laid out for 3 days. I'm just now starting to fell like my old self. Hubby canceled our room and rebooked it for next month. So we will have to make our trip next month. 
I will post about it after we get back. I don't care what happens next time, I will not miss that trip. Even if I lose a leg the morning of our trip, I will be there.

I have contacted Harrah's to cancel the scheduled appearance of the "Kidney Stone Temple Pilots" that was originally supposed to take place while you were there.
Hopefully, this will solve the problem.

I am happy that I didn't have my attack in Reno, I don't think I could have pulled myself away from the casino. I know I'm going next month, but it doesn't make it any easier. At least we made a day trip last week.

kidney stones suck!! if feel your pain. I sufferd the whole drive down with the pain, and about 4 days in reno. Then it finally got extreme enough to go to the ER in tahoe.
Lucky me still has 6 stones in my left kidney. Fun times. I ended up back in the ER about 2 weeks after getting home from Reno. They attacked again. |
