Good thought, Cuke!!
I too miss the place though I always struggled to find a machine to play there. Another nostalgia stamp for my album.
Last trip, we managed to burn up nearly all our comps in Molly's. the food was very good to the end. We ate nearly all our meals there (to burn the comps) even though we were staying at the Pep. |

Not to forget the demise of the Nevada Club, Onslow, Riverboat and the Riverside and Pioneer up the street too. *sigh*
I happened to see Reno's Virginia Street webcam earlier this evening and noticed that Fitzgerald's still has its outdoor lights on. What a dark spot that'll be when the lights are out. |

Don't forget Harold's Club, the Comstock, Sundowner (the best prime rib deal around), and (for those of us of a certain age...) the Mapes, Old Reno, Sahara Reno, Flamingo Hilton, Primadonna & Laughing Clown.
No doubt there's more. |

The Ponderosa, which redeemed itself by becoming a strip joint. |

We will miss the Fitz. Yes it was old & outdated, but it had a good vibe and a homey feel.

Fitz was one of only two casinos in Reno area that had never kicked me out for using my brain while playing. Though it deteriorated into garbage blackjack games under the final ownership, I am sorry to see it go. RIP, Fitz.

If you're feeling nostalgic about old Reno casinos you might enjoy this web site. It's a little out of date but still interesting.
