No, not a trip report, kinda a wish list or pre-trip report. Anything to fill this section that has been so quiet!
R and I are doing a slot play pilgrimage tomorrow.
We're starting an hour from here, at the new Red Hawk Indian casino. We've been there once on $60 free play they sent R, (nada for moi), we turned that into several hundred, and I guess they want it back. Honestly, he's gotten some marketing, in the mail, for most days in April. Tomorrow is a measly $10, but with his $15 already earned on there, and my $10 for joining, well, that's $35 we're going to grab, and play ONCE through, really. We usually stop in Placerville for a bathroom stop anyway, and Red Hawk has self-service soda/coffee, so this will serve as that. Maybe they'll quit sending us mailers after we stiff 'em.
Then-n-n-n....$50 slot play at Harrah's in Tahoe, play that once through and outta there! Maybe the $10 slot play at Mount Bleu, that's iffy.
On the way through Carson, we stop at the Nugget with their mailer of $10 free food (which can almost buy 2 complete Prime Rib dinners), and $10 slot play (which at their nickel bar, will get us an after dinner drink while we play it).
We have $10 at Atlantis, this one is iffy, since it's tougher to do an in-an-out, and then over to Sierra, where we have $10 each for giving our email last time we were in there.
Now we really aren't planning on staying at any of these places, just run the free play through once, take what we get, and split.
$10 free slot play at Cal Neva and then across the street to Harrah's Reno. I have $50 free slot play with them. Since we have a room here, we'll slow it down and take stock of how we've done. We'll probably be thirsty, as none of the above play will really warrant a drink. So maybe we'll belly up to the bar and play it there.
Early night, as we're driving down to Vegas the next day for 3 nights at a Luv Tub room in Imperial palace. Comped on Harrah's dime, we could have stayed anywhere free, including Paris, but we wanted to do a low roller trip. And there's nothing that reminds you you're a low roller, than staying at Imperial Palace. We're also double booked at the Plaza downtown, another low roller joint, as they sent us an offer of room, $100 at their Italian restaurant, and free show tickets to the Rat Pack. A show well received and one I've been wanting to see. I don't know if we'll stay in the Plaza room at all, depends on how serious we take our drambling.
So basically, the goal is to spend 4 nights, in Nevada, eat, drink, see shows, stay for free, dramble relentlessly and spend minimally. I'll let you know how it goes. However, since I already wrote it all out, the trip report may look like this: Please refer to pre-trip report: Yes, no, somewhat, lost the $10, Prime rib was tough...
Nah...I'm sure something more will happen to write it up! |
