|
|
I have not been to Reno in a dog’s age and have a few nights planned there prior to flying back into Vegas as part of our trip loop around Labor Day holiday timeframe.
I am seeking info, particularly about the rental car setup there
ie: is it similar to the setup in Vegas with a central bus or do they run individual car rental busses to the individual car rental vendors?
I am interested in renting from Dollar or Alamo and wonder what the setup is there as far as Dollar Express booth location and Quicksilver kiosk locations to beat the generally long counter lines.
If anyone knows any particular discount codes, that would be helpful also. If you have a code, please tell me what the use restrictions are for it as I dont wish to do something now and be surprised that I dont belong to that special credit card or club to use that code legally.
Also looking for info on Tahoe or some sort of site where I can apply for an information packet to have sent to my home on what there is to do around there as far as casinos and tourist things.
We are going to take just a day trip to Tahoe since we are staying all nights at Eldorado in Reno.
Thanks in advance for any info anyone has. |

The Reno car rental agencies all have desks in the terminal across from the baggage claim. After you complete registration, you walk across the street to the garage to pick up your car. There are no bus rides involved (as in LV) and it's usually a fairly quick process.
I have rented from Dollar on several occasions and it is helpful if you belong to their Dollar Express club (no charge to join). They have a special line for the Dollar Express members and it moves pretty quickly.
Don't know about discount codes, but it does seem that prices on car rentals have shot up drastically in the past few months.
Hope this helps,

Here's a great code for Alamo (from another site)
"I used contract code 7012298 and a coupon code. I found on Carrentalsavers.com "
I used the above contract code and coupon code from Costco and got a great rate for HAN.
Apparently the contract code is from some Bahama's travel agency. From what I've heard most people are not asked about it, except one person and he played dumb. If someone asked me, I would probably say my travel agent helped me book it. |
