My experience is different. Sometimes I have to chase off cocktail waitresses who just want to massage me all evening. Makes it really hard to concentrate. |

Bizarre is right. I have visions of some overweight hairy guy (not me) taking off his shirt and getting a neck rub while playing video keno. How could you get a back rub while throwing the dice at a craps table??
This bright idea ?? will not last. I remember a few years back someone had an idea of combining an exercise machine and a slot machine.
Dave- I hate to tell you this, but those cocktail gals really only want to massage your wallet....to their benefit. |

Sorry, Swede, I have seen the Canadian guy in action. The waitresses really do (to the envy of the rest of us) hang on his every word. He tries to suggest that they are there for John and me, but the "truth will out".
BCD is "smooth as silk" and I am still attempting to learn how he does it. |

Here are more details from today's RGJ. Looks like GSR will offer the same service. Cost is $1.50 per minute. I'm wondering if you can split or double down?

This massage thing is getting interestinger and interestinger. Here's a craigslist.org ad placed by the owner of Massage Bliss (found by Googling the LV phone number):
MASSAGE BLISS IS NOW HIRING FULL AND PART TIME POSITION'S AT 3 CASINO RESORT'S NOW IN RENO. DON'T WAIT AND COME INTERVIEW FOR A POSITION IN THIS NEW MASSAGE INDUSTRY TAKING OFF IN RENO. FOR FURTHER INFO PLEASE CONTACT CRYSTAL GIL AT 702-205-6936 OR EMAIL CRYSTALGILLMT@AOL.COM
* Location: GSR/SILVER LEGACY/PEPPERMILL POKER ROOM
* Compensation: CASH!!! 50/50 SPLIT PLUS TIP'S
Seems they've also moved into the Peppermill. I hope she uses some of the profits to take a grammar course and learn, among other things, the proper use of apostrophe's. Please note - the ad does not specify "Licensed Massage Therapist", but it is probably a requirement. |

Thanks John for keeping us informed on this breaking story. I was wondering if you were going to apply for this job? I believe you are only a hop, skip and jump from the Peppermill worksite. It sure sounds like easy money to me.
Also, if business is a little slow, you can run a class on the proper use of the apostrophe's..... wait- I think it is apostrophe. |

All this massage stuff is very nice but over at the Cal Neva, bikini clad chicks are wrestling in Jello. Can Reno possibly get any better? |

This got me to thinking: One of the ways I sometimes indulge myself on vacations is by getting a short (20 to 30 minute) chair massage. The local mall here in Tyler has a chair massage concession. I've also seen them in the Fashion Show mall in Las Vegas.
Other than the two casinos mentioned in the article (Grand Sierra and Silver Legacy), are there any other places where chair massages are available in Reno? (I'm afraid that, if I got one at the Blackjack table, I would forget how to play the game!) If so, I'll start planning one for my November trip.

not certain but I seem to recall someone getting one at Siena but that was awhile back. And things change there quickly. so I wouldn't count on it. I haven't been in there in ages.
Once a VIP, now a "non-person".
Maybe if you tip the waitress enough, she will give you a quickie/freebie massage. |

I've given thousands of waitresses tips over the years and have never had that happen. Maybe I'm not just tipping enough.
Actually, I was wondering if there might be a place in a shopping mall or something similar to that.

There are massage chairs at Meadowood Mall and at the airport, I think. I remember trying one out at the airport, but can't remember if it was in Reno or Las Vegas. Remember, the memory is the second thing to go. I forget what the first thing is. |
