I can't speak to Eldo's rooms at all as we've never stayed there, but we are quite fond of the West tower rooms at Harrah's. Spacious, well-decorated, and each floor has a sitting area by the windows in the hall which is a nice spot to sit and read the paper and have coffee whilst your significant other sleeps off the previous night! |

You know, I'm coming to think that myself - just got back last night and we lost our @#%$ at Harrah's - I think I had one winning session there the entire weekend... the rest was lose, lose, lose, lose. Trip report to follow soon...
The hook is that Harrah's comps us rooms all the time - Eldo and SL won't. However, if I consider how much I've lost at Harrah's, I could have paid for rooms elsewhere ten times over... oy. |

Enjoy Harrah's but gamble at the Eldorado, SL or Siena. |

Yeah, that's the coming plan for the Christmas trip, I think. Though I am sorta considering booking in at Cal-Neva. I'd really really like to see some recent room pics though.... anyone got any? I couldn't find any on TripAdvisor or any of the other review sites. |

I stayed at Cal Neva for the first timein March... rooms were CLEAN and QUIET.. in room coffe...(THINK Fitzgeralds rooms)..... a great value.... it reminded TOTALLY Of the Ol Fitz I miss so much.... Downsdie was you have to go out for breakfast or a drink as the Hotel is a seperate building across the street from Casino.. but was a GOOd CHOICE.. I will stay again |

I agree.
Good:
No hassles at check in. No line...(30 seconds till you get key)
Cheap (or free)
Quiet
In room coffee maker
Will fill requests (high floor, away from elevators, no smoking, facing Virginia)
ON Virginia (near Little Nugget Offal Aweful)
NO long walk thru casino
NO RESORT FEES
Bad:
Slow elevators
No self park except at Cal Neva Casino self park
Cannot handle high vehicles in underground parking |
