Until now, casino carpeting has been quietly ugly. The Peppermill's new rug is SCREAMING ugly. What were they thinking?

And that's going to be (or is) all over the Casino?!?! I may have to bring back my old puking avatar! Correct me if I'm wrong but you couldn't get that out of Tuscaneon even if you put it through a wringer.

As usual, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, as that's exactly what I see after a few cocktails, especially those electric-green Midori ones....but that's a pretty nancy drink, so it's usually more like a 49&49*...yep, at that point, background vision is indistinguishable from that carpet.

Gee, I kind of like it. I think it would look good in my bedroom. Did I mention that everyone says I have bad taste?

Of course you know that carpeting is working us over. It has a subliminal message that says- "gamble more, gamble more.....you are going to win." Shocked

The time to criticize Peppermill for exercising awful decorating taste passed long ago.

As wild as that carpet is, I don't think it can catch an eye in that place.

so, I've been wondering about this one for a while...does this mean so long to the moons, planets, clouds and rainbows? Is it physically on the casino floor yet, or is this just a prototype? I STILL wanna chase all these people down and get the goods so I can decorate my apartment like an old Imperial Suite...

Yes, it's smeared all over most of the casino. Next trip, I'll try to get a snapshot of it. It's pretty hard to look at, so I don't go in as much as in the past.

oh well...I guess my last trip there was my last viewing of the old carpet. Damn! As mentioned earlier, my parents are rolling in next month from North Carolina and we'll all be staying at the Pep for at least 2 nights. I was telling Mom that the strobe light inside the Island Buffet might be a bit much for her and as long as they could deal with miles of neon and mirrors, they'd be ok...is that going next? (Yeah, seriously thinking about starting a "Save the Old Peppermill" campaign!)

... and the Nevada State police all carry an eight foot section of old casino carpet in their trunk.

Word is, their favorite sport is to roll it out in the street and tell suspected DUII drivers, "Walk that straight line, there" !

Alison, I think it's pretty much unanimous that your avatar is already "smokin"!
