What's up????
I just checked the Visit Schedule and only two people are hopeful of super bowl in Reno.
Is no one else hoping to be there?
If you are, and you do not post your schedule ahead, then the Mod may have to take off some points. Remember when Stan was in all that hot water - had three strikes against him. Only a foul tip (and my grace) saved him.
BTW, where are 'ya, Stan? I miss your humor. The board needs a needle in the arm, or wherever. |

Funny you should mention that; I found myself wondering over the last month or two, "Where the heck is Jerry? The board's so quiet without him..." |

Well, Stan, you pm'ed him yesterday. So I guess you must have found him. Just don't tell anyone else where he is. I understand that he wants to remain "anomalous".
You may catch him at the Siena on Super Bowl Weekend. I expect to hook up with him there and have a beer or 68. |

ok, Bama, good job.
I have a grandson on the Samford tennis team in Alabama. Those guys are heavy-duty tennis players too - from all over the world.
Anyway, glad you connected with the Visit Schedule. Maybe I'll be there then too. That's what the schedule is for. I have met several board members, so far, because of the postings on there.
I never yet met any that I didn't like either.
To quote the famous saying from years ago: "I never met a man I didn't like". I'm pretty sure that Liberace often used that quote. |

Brilliantly phrased, Hawk!
Jerry will indeed always be "Anamolous". |

Looking forward to it Hawk - hope you can make it down. Beaver state huh? My wife is from Oregon - small town called Vernonia.
Bama' basketball is making a comeback - three in a row - still heavy odds to make the big dance but at least they are making a run -
Later,

Who do you guy think will be in that Superbowl? I would sure love to see the Hawks in there!
Ben have you made flight plans and reservations yet? Did you get a good deal?
Jerry I really hope you are down there so we could at least hook up for a cold beverage.
Take care guys,
Dave
I think Bama has a legit shot to make it. |

Dave, did I misunderstand?
As I have it: You will not be there for Super Bowl?
But, you will be in Reno for Final Four?
Enlighten me. My wife would willingly oblige me but she is in bed.
Did I mention how ENLIGHTENING marriage is for a man???
How else would he know that he is ALWAYS wrong
(If this doesn't bring KrAut out of the woodwork, I'll be worried about her.) |

Bama' is winning with smoke and mirrors - I believe they will fade. I will keep the faith however as the SEC is week this year.
I am going to make reservations this weekend. I am going to stick with Alaska as I get the times I want and get to stay at the EL Dorado. It is $400.00 for four nights/air plus a few free breakfasts. The cheapest I found was Southwest Air but leaving early Sunday morning and staying at the Sands for $315.00

Eldorado I am sure will be good for you Ben. I think that is where you stayed last year right?
Jerry I won't be there for the Superbowl but I will be down for the first weekend of March Madness. Hopefully you will be saddled up to a machine at the Siena one of those days we are there. Speaking of saddled up next to a machine, where in the world is John?
I hope all is well guys!

I am all booked.
Dave, I ended up staying at the Sands. Alaska/Eldorado was sold out as was my afternoon departure.
I ended up with 4 nights at the Sands / Southwest for $317.00! Pretty good deal - and I leave sunday afternoon instead of morning.
I arrive Wed at 3:20pm! Way excited. My younger brother is coming with and I am still trying to get Gambill to go.
Are 18 year olds allowed in the casino if they are not gambling. Jim wanted to bring Cam to watch to games but I thought you had to be 21 to be in the casinos. Anybody know the rules.
I am way excited for Reno and March Madness. |

You must be 21 to stay in any of the gaming areas of the casino. If you're just passing through you will be allowed to pass. But if you stop for a while, even if you're not gambling but just watching, you will be asked to move along.
Restaurants, theaters and concert halls are different. Under 21's can be in those venues. That brings up an interesting question that I can't answer. Can an under 21 aged person attend a special Super Bowl party in a non-gaming area such as a convention hall? I guess that's why hotels have toll free 800 numbers, so we can call and ask. |

Yeah that is a great question Remano. Well tell me this, is the gaming age limit in the Indian Casinos 18 or 21? Granted I can vaguely remember being that age!
That is awesome Ben. Glad to hear you got a good deal. We will be staying at the Sands as well. Tell Jim he has to get down there. I actually saw Cam last night and he is playing with a broken nose but playing well. I thought your wife was going?
Any of you out there ever go to Boomtown to watch a sporting event? Do they have a sportsbook there?
Go Hawks!
