I just received a puzzling offers from Harrah's. The reason it's puzzling is that I've never gambled in the casinos (Harrah's Lake Tahoe & Harvey's). Seems strange to me.

There is so much turnover and hiring between casinos. My bet is when someone at another casino left, they ripped off a list of customers from their previous casino.

I hated it when the Comstock closed down as I spent a lot of dough getting on their high roller list.

I should not have worried, because as all of the bosses and hosts landed at new places...I "earned" a spot on their new employer's list.

It worked in my favor for quite a while.

Once in a while I lose my head and am almost a high roller for a short while. Alarms probably start sounding at the slot club. They start thinking, "Hey we should comp this guy something!" Then they check the Nevada Wide Gambler Database and see that I had 5 Heinekens while playing 2 rolls of nickels at the Riverboat in 1992 and drop me like a hot potato.

Wait a minute. Are you saying that you have never gambled in any Harrah's or just at the Lake Tahoe properties? I have been getting free offers for rooms at Harrah's Reno for the last 7 years....I have never gambled in there.

Not so strange as they look at your zip code and try to get you to come to their closest casinos.

It was probably due to the card "switch" of gambling around for the Harrah's promo! Though The Dog and I would receive Tahoe offers once in a while with our regular Reno offers before we went gambling there this past summer... it would all come in a handy mailer magazine thingie. We would also get them for Las Vegas once in a while though we had never been there until this past summer... funny enough, we haven't received a single Vegas mailer from any of the Harrah's properties in LV since we've been there!

Right you are Lily. I forgot that when I was playing a lot at Harrah's Laughlin I used to get regular offers for Las Vegas from Harrah's, Paris and even Ceasar's. Free rooms at any of those places......I never gambled in any of those places either.

Harrah's is noted for their promotion of properties to suit your gambling style.

I do gamble at Harrah's but the offers are no where close to my zip. Also I've never gambled in them.
