The reason that HAN is such a big draw (biggest week in Reno) is the cars and the music. It is a great showcase of the older rock groups. If, one doesn't like Rock n Roll you're like a donut because you have a hole in your soul.

How did that old saying go? "If you don't love rock and roll when you're in your twenties, you have no heart. If you don't love classical when you're in your forties, you have no brain" - or some such thing...

And if you can't get to Hot August Nights, one alternative is to simply spend a night or two at the Atlantis - I can't remember a time I was there when there wasn't a non-stop stream of 50's music the entire time...
