Ok Reno Fans, here we go:
Every year our group heads to a steakhouse. Our standby and longtime favorite is Harrah's. 20+years!
Well our last visit in January was a little underwhelming for two of my guests and they'd like to try something different. Here are the rules:
1. Must offer a table side-created Caesar salad. Not just some bagged romaine lettuce…someone having fun with it.
2. Nice wine list.
3. Of course, outstanding steak.
and
4. Something must be flambéed. This is the #1 item. Not just dessert, perhaps a Steak Diane? Every visit, we must have some food set on fire…intentionally.
We've done the Atlantis Steakhouse (high hopes dashed with too much modern decor and a chef/server who simply could not care less). So, other ideas? I have a few in mind, but want to see what YOU recommend. |

Zydeco, a few years ago, we had a wonderful steak dinner at Ruby River Steakhouse, right across Virginia St. from the Peppermill. I don't know if they set stuff on fire, but you can bring some lighter fluid and matches if that's necessary. |
