Sad news has come to my hometown (VA Beach) again. This time I heard about it at home on TV. As of now there are 12 deceased and 4 wounded. We who live here will be processing it for a long time.

My heart goes out to those affected. It is becoming all too often that this kind of thing happens. One could hope that anyone thinking of doing such an act would seek help before they do it. Our world has changed for the worse and I don't see a bright side anytime soon. |

The United Way is taking donations at a link and a local bank has given $500K. The healing continues. |

Well the fund is now $2.5M and there are a number of vendors selling VBStrong shirts. The mayor spoke last week and two things he said were be kinder and nicer to each other. To me that says a lot. |

The fund has reached over $4M and each family will/has received $25K. I'm sure for some the money was much needed. Again the healing continues. |
