Hey, you forgot some standard journalistic tripe:
"Spokespersons for the man were not immediately available for comment.
Sources close to the man indicated that he had consumed some alcohol prior to the alleged incident, although the specific quantity was unknown.
Associates of the man, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated that they empathized with the man's position, and would gladly trade places with him.
Members of a broad coalition including churchgoers, community activists, and several "Street People" carefully selected from high-visibility posts on Sierra and Virginia street, were amused, but not shocked. "Dude," said one man with an open guitar case on the ground in front of him, but no guitar, "He was like, out there - you know?" the man then shuffled in place, and mumbled a request for spare change.
Members of an internet message board of which the man was allegedly a moderator had little to contribute. After a post seeking comment from the board, one user responded that he was a board member only because he didn't know how to go to other websites.
A randomly-selected group of people at a craps table at Cal-Neva were somewhat more amused, although others suggested that their merriment was partly due to the bottomless margaritas they were enjoyijng. After a sampling of these community wares, it was determined that the table had indeed "Gone cold", and the remainder of the bankroll should not have been wagered on the "Pass" line. Blackjack was less kind.
The man was taken to a nearby psychiatric ward for evaluation, where he currently resides."
Okay, you get the idea - let's see some journalistic standards next time! |
