Ok, here ya guys go...
Saucys Smokehouse is the new Restaraunt at the Pep. I hear the chuckles already...
From the Pep site:
Opening early June, the tastiest barbeque west of the Texas border is at Saucy’s Smokehouse. Our fall-off-the-bone tender barbeque is slow cooked but served fast. Located next to Oceano, Saucy’s Smokehouse serves up the best ribs, chicken, and all-American wood-grilled burgers. And don’t forget the sauce! The aroma of our mouthwatering sauces will keep you coming back for more. Join us at Saucy’s Smokehouse for lunch, dinner, or takeout. |

"Would you care to sit in the smokehouse smoking or non smoking section?"
"The saucy section, please" |

And Circus Circus beat 'em to it, opening a new BBQ restaurant called Smokin' Gecko's about a week ago. I haven't eaten there yet, maybe somebody will volunteer to do a review? |

I've never tasted smoked Gecko that I know of. I had some weird stuff in Mexico once...it coulda been Gecko. It tasted like chicken.
Truth is, I wouldn't mind if that dumb ass lizard that works for that insurance company was roasted over a low flame. |

nOW if it was Smoky's Saucehouse, I'd have John get me a comp for a big "Q"" sandwich which is my preferred way to eat it.
Anything at Circus is usually lousy (except Steakhouse). I hated the Bonici pizza. rare when I can't finish ANY pizza. It was not worth the money (and it was comped). So I won't be the sampler for that one. |

Alison -
You beat me to it! I just saw all the info on the Pep's website last evening and was going to post a link but I figured someone else already did...
It should be very interesting. So far, I can't stop laughing my a$$ off at the name they chose. The logo could use a little work too!
How 'bout something like,
EAT AT SAUCY'S. IT'S A SMOKIN' GOOD TIME!
What's scary is their little description seems to be focusing more on the sauce. "Don't forget the sauce! The aroma of the sauce will keep you coming back!" Funny, they seem to be focusing more on the sauce than the meats served..we'll see...
Jerry - thanks for the heads up on the restaurants at the ole' Circus McGirkus. My one trip in there was back in March and I was in and out the door in 5 minutes, and that was just in the casino!

Smoke me a gecko,
Sauce me a lizard,
I'll come swingin from a coconut tree.
Smoke me a gecko, Sauce me a lizard,
You sure made a monkey out of me. |

But where can I get tickets to the Jerry Show? He's clearly the new sage/performance artist of the board! |
