Miss you, JD, and still anxiously await your travails, err, travels in Virginia City and its environs.
You'll be intterested to know (I think) that the Siena seems to have cut me off also. I made three inquiries without a response. I will humble myself no further.
Feel sorry for the great waitresses there. They basically get very little tips because of the clientele that Siena now markets to. They have to force the bettor to bet at least a dime while they are ordering (up from their normal penny per spin). Why they only want the street people/druggies/etc from the neighborhood, I don't understand.
My last trip, I put over 12,000 through the machines on last day just to justify my stay. Didn't help. How much does a penny better drinking his Bud Lites put thru in a session?
Ah well, I am not management...
On recent trips and events, I have rarely seen any of the old crowd that used to come to town and play for fairly good bucks. |

Jerry, your trip reports are as gloomy as your avatars are increasingly dazzling - why do these two forces move in inverse proportion?
I tried, but I have been bested at my own subject line game - even Stone Man, our most recent convert, stole the day with his "Fan my Dango" line.
Ah, well, I can always recall youth. |

Rest easy my boy. You will never be bested in the subject game.
You are the man in the subject game.
The subject is your name and subjects are your game!!!!
To paraphrase an old joke:
Question: What's a Stone Man?
Answer: Oh, about 800 pounds..
I would post more avatars but they are all the wrong size. I have put a bunch of pics in the bank but need to become less illiterate computer-wise.
"why do these two forces move in inverse proportion?"
Well, I have had a balance problem recently and sometimes find myself upside-down on the computer.
The doc says, "Forget it Jerry. At your age, I wouldn't worry about anything." |
