In catching up with my magazine reading this morning, I ran across Casino Player and a feature about Reno. While it was clearly a casino PR-generated article, I did appreciate their dedication to the Reno market.

During one of my last flights, I recall that Southwest had a feature in their in-flight magazine, Spirit about Reno.

Last night I was approached by a friend for an invite to the Annual Reno GalPal trip. She’d never been to Reno and wanted to check it out with us. She not only has heard our stories, but was reading about it somewhere recently.

This morning a friend forwarded an offer from the Eldorado ($29 midweek)

Perhaps some things are looking up? I shall remain hopeful as we enter 2009. If not, I’ll just stop by Louie’s Basque for 4-5 Picon Punches, that’ll help.
