|
|
I receive a lot of mailers from the Peppermill, and I get free play of usually $50 up to $200 (once) so I was not surprised to see some free play sent my way. However, I was surprised at the amount..... $500 for use during the month of July.
This mailer was included in some kind of Bingo Birthday offer. I guess I will making a trip to the Pepp in July!
Anyone else getting offers way above the norm? Suppose it was an error on their part? |

Nice!!!
I have only gotten $300 tops so far in 2009. I use to get $500 offers all the time, so either my play was off in 2008 or the Pep has cut there promotions.
Good Luck and I hope you turn that $500 into $5000 |

Yes Alison, my birthday is in July. In fact the entire country helps me celebrate by setting off fire works a few days before my birthday.
I have heard from other boards that winners at the Peppermill have been cut off of offers there. The Peppermill seems to be lucky for me (can't say that about other places). I have asked for win loss details every year for the last 3 years, and I have been a winner every year.......2 years ago I was mid- 4 figures ahead. I think they want their money back. I will give them another shot at it for sure......but I will use theirs first. |

Well, for you Alison I will answer. I usually put through about 8 to 12K per day, but my trips are usually only one or two nights. Maybe 3 trips last year? |

I received a similar offer, but yesterday received a letter informing me that it was an error, and the "correct" offer is a "gift card" with a face value about 30% of the face value of the freeplay. I think it was petty and stupid for the Peppermill to retract the better offers. It likely will annoy many patrons. I laughed it off, realizing the stupidity of many casino marketing people, but others may not be so forgiving and will take their future business elsewhere. Once the mailers were sent out, Peppermill should have sucked it up and moved on.

Well, lvbear it looks like both of us July babies were victims. In my mail today I got the dreaded letter that said the previous offered free play would not be honored. Soooo- I went from $500 in free play to a $25 gift card.. LOL.
Doesn't anyone check out these mailed offers? Someone was asleep.
About 6 months ago I received a very nice offer from the River Palms in Laughlin. Then I got another letter from them saying "We goofed", with a much smaller offer. Then about another week later I got another letter that said "We goofed again", with an offer that was nothing. I threw them all away- geez.
Sometimes you got to just wonder about casino marketing?? |

Usually the Pep does send you $25.00 for your b-day. Is that what this is for possibly? |

I have to chime in here. I agree with lvbear.
Actually, I don't believe it was a mistake. I am neither that stupid nor that naive. I think their business turned around and they are rescinding the offers.
Today, I called to use the "bring a friend" offer. Sorry, Mr J, that offer is not available on those dates. We are full for 2 conventions. But we can give you a room for a special rate of only $100 (and at that, a STANDARD room not the proferred Tuscany).
Then I asked about my birthday free play of $250. Sorry, Mr J, that was a mistake. Instead you'll receive a $25 gift certificate. Wow, a 90% error, hunh?? I think not. The lvbear is correct. That really irritates me.
And, Ali, I was informed that this was the first time for the birthday offers.
None of this computes. It is bunch of what is in the bottom of John's Cockatoo Cages. |

It's a bunch of newspaper?
The Pep sent me a $75 gift certificate for my b-day, but I couldn't convert it to free play. Bummer |

I always get a card every year for my B-day from the Pep. Its been for $25.00. I could use it for room charges, free play or food.
Thats why i ask. |

Or, perhaps, my subject line should have been: "the cream always rises to the top". Whatever!!
Since lvbear, CaSwede, and Jerry are all July babies (along with Julius Caesar and Bill Cosby on my date), how many more July Babies do we have on this board?
And no, John: Caesar-Cosby-and Jerry were not all born in the SAME YEAR.... Just me and Caesar -- I think Cosby is Older... |
