To sum up the museum in one word ... awesome! Inspired by the Black Rock Desert, the new NMA is an environmental statement about Nevada's unique landscape. With 13,482 square feet of expanded gallery space for major exhibitions, 180 seat multimedia theater for presentations, recitals and films, dining in Café Musée and street-level and rooftop galleries, it continues to offer audiences of all ages a variety of experiences. PARKING: Parking is available in the Museum lot as well as in free and metered spaces on nearby streets. PERMANENT COLLECTION GALLERIES: The NMA's permanent collection consists of over 1,900 works of art organized around the general themes of land and environment.
